Two main surveys that the ship which is registered in Korean Register will be taken are Classification survey and the survey on behalf of government (which is survey whether ship is complied with international convention), in addtion, Korean flag ship should be taken the survey whether ship is complied Korean Ship Act(including BBCHP) and Marine Environment Management Act.
The ship has taken each survey, she will get the certificate as proof of the survey such as Classification Certificate, International Convention Certificate(SE, SC, SR, IAPP, BWM, etc.), Ship Survey Certificate and Marine Pollution Prevention Certificate.
The survey will be taken periodically and after each survey, surveyor will endorse or issue each certificate.

At the below of each certificate which is issued after the survey you can find survey basis of certificate such as classification rule, international convetion, law, etc.

The periodical survey can be calculated estimated fee by survey tariff, please reuquest quotation to branch office or Class Register Team.
But temporary survey will be account by actual survey time, so it can't be calculated in survey applying step.

Service Supplier means that A person or company, not employed by an IACS Member, who at the request of and equipment manufacturer, shipyard, vessel's owner or other client acts in connection with inspection work and provides services for a ship or a mobile offshore unit such as measurements, tests or maintenance of safety systems and equipment, the results of which are used by Surveyors in making decisions affecting classification or statutory certifications and services. (A) Statutory services
(a) Firms engaged in servicing life saving appliances
(b) Firms engaged in inspections and maintenance of fire extinguishing equipment & system and self contained breathing apparatus
(c) Firms engaged in inspections and testing of radio communication equipment
(d) Firms engaged in annual performance testing of Voyage Data Recorders(VDR) and simplified Voyage Data Recorders(S-VDR)
(e) Firms engaged in sound pressure level measurements of public address and general alarm systems on board ships
(f) Firms engaged in inspections of low location lighting systems using photo luminescent materials and evacuation guidance systems used as an alternative to low-location lighting systems
(B) Classification and/or Statutory services:
(a) Firms engaged in thickness measurements on ships or mobile offshore unites except
(b) Firms carrying out an in-water survey of on ships and mobile offshore units by diver or Remotely Operated Vehicle(ROV).
(c) Firms engaged in tightness testing of closing appliances such as hatches, doors, etc. with ultrasonic equipment
(d) Firms engaged in measurements of noise level on board ships
(e) Firms engaged in examination of Ro-Ro ship's bow, stern, side and inner doors
(f) Firms engaged in testing of coating systems in accordance with IMO Res.MSC.215(82) as amended and IACS UI SC223 and/or IMO Res.MSC.288(87) as amended
(g) Firms engaged in tightness testing of primary and secondary barriers of gas carriers with membrane cargo containment systems for vessels in service
(h) Firms engaged in survey using Remote Inspection Techniques(RIT) as an alternative means for Close-up Survey of the structure of ships and mobile offshore units.
(i) Firms engaged in vibration measurement in relation to habitability of ship
(j) Firms engaged in visual and/or sampling checks for preparation of inventory of hazardous materials
(k) Firms providing NDT(Non-destructive Testing) services on ship and offshore structure and component

Annual survey and Intermediate survey have survey window before after 3 months from due date, therefore they can't postpone survey due date.
In case of Special survey, 'exceptional circumstances', the Society may grant an extension not exceeding three(3) months to allow for completion of the Special Survey provided that the vessel is attended and the attending Surveyor(s) so recommend(s) after the following has been carried out:
Where exceptional circumstance' means unavailability of dry-docking facilities; unavailability of repair facilities; unavailability of essential materials, equipment or spare parts; or delays incurred by action taken to avoid severe weather conditions
The survey items is as below.
(1) Annual Survey;
(2) re-examination of Conditions of Class; (2020)
(3) progression of the Special Survey as far as practicable;
(4) in the case where dry docking is due prior to the end of the class extension, an underwater examination is to be carried out by an approved diving company. An underwater examination by an approved company may be dispensed with in the case of extension of dry-docking survey not exceeding 36 months interval provided the ship is without outstanding Condition of Class regarding underwater parts.

In case of reduce maximum number of allowable persons on board, the nearest branch office can reissue certificate simply.
But, if maximum number of allowable persons on board is to be increased, it should be check relavent equipment. For this check, technical review can be needed. In addition, temporary survey should be taken, please contact Survey Team first.

In case of reduce navigational area, the nearest branch office can reissue certificate simply.
But, if navigational area is to be expanded, it should be check seaworthiness, relavent equipment, etc., for this check technical review can be needed. In addition, temporary survey should be taken, please contact Survey Team first.

Please submit the survey application for confirming flag change.
In case of flag change survey, if the survey date is within periodical survey window, this survey will be taken by that periodical survey, but the survey date is out of periodical survey, it will be taken by temporary survey.
Basically, this survey is including international convention survey and confirming each flag requirement, after survey, all international convention certificate on behalf of flag and all flag mentioned certificates will be reissue.

In case of flag change survey, if the survey date is within periodical survey window, this survey will be taken by that periodical survey, but the survey date is out of periodical survey, it will be taken by temporary survey.
Basically, this survey is including international convention survey and confirming each flag requirement, after survey, all international convention certificate on behalf of flag and all flag mentioned certificates will be reissue.

In case of just ship owner change, the entry of shipowner which is written on certificate can be amended easily, but interim audit can be taken case by case. Please apply for survey of shipowner change.

There is no specific survey for change of ship management company, but ISM, ISPS interim audit and MLC interim survey (in case, ship management company is shipowner which is meant MLC convention) should be tanken, please apply for ISM, ISPS interim audit and MLC interim survey.

Please apply for temporary survey for ship's name change. Surveyor will check first the document which can be confirmed ship's name change(such as certificate of registry), and then surveyor will check ship's name on side plate, safety equipment, essential drawing, manual and etc. After survey, surveyor will issue all certificates which are written ship's name.

According to just misprint on certificate, please contact the nearest branch office for reissue.

As ship less than 20 years, ship of 100 ton gross and more or special ships whose ton gross is unrestricted may be carried out classification survey after construction.
It should be taken Classification Survey after Construction, in detail, if the vessel which is registered on the Classification Society which is subject to verification of compliance with IACS QSCS is entered to KR, this is TOC survey. In the Classification Survey after Construction, the Special Survey will be taken corresponding to the ship's age in order to ascertain that they meet the relevant requirements in the Rules.
